Hardcore History Series by Dan Carlin

I am a history buff, but then this guy can make any history super fun to listen to! I especially enjoyed his first world world six part series - "A Blueprint for Armageddon.”. It's an epic narrative and with such good research, accounts that no book or movie can capture! 

Just started with the first part of "Supernova in the East" about Japan's imperial rise and made it formidable during 2nd world war.  The first part dealt with Japanese society and what made japan the most unique civilization!
